Good News!

Hey good news - I'm not dead. I've actually been a really busy gal. I've been working and churching, road tripping and cooking. It's a busy life I lead. I promise I still love all of my friends. Hugs to all of you.

JANIE

Greetings One and All!

Hey Everyone --

Sorry for the non-communication via xanga deal. I have been facebooking lately.

Life is steady. I am still working for Jimmy Johns (http://www.jimmyjohns.com) as a Training Manager. The family is doing well... Madelyn is getting bigger, Carter is getting smarter, Abby & Luc are growing up faster than I want them to. That's what happens when you're old -- kids grow up fast.

Not too much to report. I'm healthy and doing good.

Join facebook and you'll stay updated.

Lovin's,

JANIE

Update

Well since most of you think I have dropped off the face of the earth -- I guess it's time for an update.

So I have hit the three month mark with Jimmy John's. After all my questions and hemming and hawing with whether it was the right move... I have decided that I am going to make it work. It has actually gotten somewhat better because of some regularity.

As of Tuesday I will have a roommate (for a couple weeks). Taneila is moving out of her apartment before she heads to school so she is going to be camping out at my place for a few weeks. I am excited about this because we haven't gotten to spend as much time together this summer as we both hoped. My new job cancelled our road trip to LA. We went to see Transformers yesterday. I was glad for the friend time.

Other news...
I bought a new car -- a Subaru Forrester. The salesman, Zach, sent me a handwritten thank you note for buying my car from Shelby Motors. I was impressed -- that's really going the extra mile. I am thinking about writing his boss a note and giving him kudos. (I think my parents want something to happen with a relationship there.. but we'll see. He has to make the first move. I'm done making first moves).

I will be heading to KY again for a much shorter trip this time. I'll spend some time with Bekah Boo and then head back to the working world again. I am trying to make a visit to IN too since I have several people to visit there. So many places, so little time. So we'll see how much energy I have and how far I can stretch my budget.

Hope all of you are doing well. Miss everyone.

Lovin's,
JANIE

Confessions

Confession #1: I am awful at relationships (both romantic and platonic)

I think that explains quite a bit right there.

Kentucky Rain

Greetings all!

I have been living on facebook recently so I forget to update this site.

I am currently in KY visiting Bekah. We've been having lots of fun doing lots of different things. Yesterday we visited Camp Nelson Heritage Park and saw the stones of several soldiers who gave their lives.

We also went to see the KY Palisades (sp?) but the road was blocked off so we just walked around the old cemetery that was along the road. (In case you are thinking Bekah and I are morbid death heads, we are not -- cemeteries are just peaceful. It's a nice place to reflect)

I had my first experience with Jesus Golf (a local putt-putt place). It was interesting the parallels they made with the golf game. Judges was scissors cutting Samson's hair -- a little bit of a stretch but I guess it works.

You'll have to check out Bekah's site for some pics from the weekend, but that's pretty much the update.

Lovin's,
JANIE
